2.5 Litre tin covers approximately 50/m2 depending on wood type and method of application. Whilst Treatex Bangkirai Oil can be applied over most previous finishes it works much better on unfinished timber. When overcoating a previously finished surface, a trial application is essential. If a previous finish is to be overcoated then it should be lightly sanded. Flaking or peeling finishes must be fully removed prior to application Ensure the timber is dry and free from possible contaminates e.g. algae, grease, dirt, dust, etc. When using Treatex Bangkirai Oil, sufficient product should bepurchased to complete the whole projectand when more than one tin is required it is advisable to mix them together before use. Timber must have a moisture content below18%. Temperature must be greater than 8º during application and drying. We strongly recommend a trial application prior to starting the project. Stir tins thoroughly, before and during use.Use a brush or roller to evenly applyTreatex Bangkirai Oil allowingapproximately 50ml per m². Afterapproximately 12 hours the first coat can be overcoated. Second coat needs approximately 12 hours to dry.
