DELIVERIES & COLLECTIONS

We use a network of couriers and our own vehicles and drivers to fulfil your orders. Shipping charges will be calculated automatically at checkout, according to the size and weight of the goods ordered, the delivery address and the service required.

Please note that e-commerce shipping charges apply to mainland England and Wales only. We may have to contact you for additional payment if you require delivery to other regions of the UK, including the Highlands.

  1. By placing an order with us, you have indicated that you accept the Round Wood of Mayfield Ltd (also trading as The Pot Company) Delivery and Collection Terms and Conditions described here and below.
  2. We ship parcels and pallets nationwide using our long-established network of couriers or our own Round Wood Transport team vehicles and drivers.
  3. Please note that shipping charges apply to mainland England and Wales only.
  4. We may have to contact you for additional payment if you require delivery to other regions, including the Highlands.
  5. Our standard delivery is 3-5 working days from the date of your order.
  6. Failure to adhere to these terms and conditions may result in extra charges being made to fulfil your order.
  7. Please ensure that all potential recipients of the delivery are made aware of these procedures.
  8. Please ensure that somebody with the sufficient authority and time is available to accept and sign for your goods during the agreed delivery window.
  9. Delivery can be refused if there is any visible damage to the packaging.
  10. Round Wood of Mayfield Ltd will have no liability for any claim for missing items or transport damage where a delivery receipt signature has been given for the supplied goods without a clear indication that the supplied goods could not be inspected or were received incomplete or damaged.
  11. If a situation arises where you consent for delivery to be made without a delivery receipt signature, to an empty address for instance, Round Wood of Mayfield Ltd will have no liability for any claim for missing items or transport damage to the supplied goods
  12. Any transport damage or other delivery issues must be reported to Round Wood of Mayfield Ltd within 24 hours of receipt of the goods.
  13. Where requested, the customer must supply photographs of any damage to the supplied goods, including all its packaging.

  1. Small products such as ironmongery (hooks, studs), nails etc. will be sent via Royal Mail.
  2. Larger items, such as adhesives and oils, or large quantities of smaller items, are sent via parcel couriers. The standard courier parcel weight limit is 25kg.
  3. Items that are longer than 1m, such as skirtings and architrave, or heavier than the standard courier parcel weight limit can still be sent via parcel courier, but at an extra charge.
  4. We will give the courier the contact number and/or email address that you provide for delivery along with any potential delivery issues that you have advised us of.
  5. You may receive a text or email from our courier with a time or window for delivery. If you are unavailable to take delivery at any point during the specified time window, please follow the rescheduling instructions provided.
  6. Parcel couriers are not contracted to wait for the goods to be checked.

  1. Heavy and/or large items are usually sent via pallet courier.
  2. Whilst each pallet space provides a maximum shipping length of 1.2m, they can be combined for longer items such as statues and giant burners.
  3. We will give the courier the contact number and/or email address that you provide for delivery.
  4. If the courier is unable to complete the delivery due to the inability to contact you, there will be an additional re-delivery charge, typically £25.
  5. Pallet deliveries are to ‘kerbside’ only, unless otherwise agreed.
  6. Pallet(s) will be removed from the delivery vehicle using a tail-lift and pallet forks (not suitable on gravel driveways) and placed in the first convenient, safe location.
  7. Drivers are not obliged to move the pallet any further into your property.
  8. The pallet courier will contact you to arrange a mutually convenient delivery day.
  9. Please ensure that you point out any potential delivery issues at this point, such as restricted access, at this time.
  10. Any actions required to overcome delivery issues may be chargeable to you, particularly if only discovered on the day of delivery.
  11. The pallet courier does not provide time slots and they only operate between standard business hours (unless otherwise arranged).
  12. Under the terms of the contract, that we have with our pallet courier, they must allow you sufficient time to open pallet packaging in order to inspect the goods closely.
  13. All goods must be checked at the time of delivery before providing a signature to accept the goods as being supplied in good order.
  14. If the courier refuses to provide sufficient time to inspect the goods, please sign for the consignment and indicate as “DAMAGED” if no other appropriate status is available.

  1. Our Round Wood Transport team will contact you to arrange a mutually convenient delivery day.
  2. Please ensure that you point out any potential delivery issues, such as restricted access, at this time.
  3. Any actions required to overcome delivery issues may be chargeable to you, particularly if only discovered on the day of delivery.
  4. Round Wood/The Pot Company Transport will make its best endeavours to deliver to the agreed delivery schedule but will not be liable for any costs, including lost earnings, associated with a delivery schedule not being met for any reason.
  5. Pallet deliveries are to ‘kerbside’ only, unless otherwise agreed.

  10. Business Deliveries:
  11. For business deliveries, where there may be significant levels of supplied goods involved, the Round Wood/The Pot Company Transport team understands that it may not be viable to confirm that all goods have been received in good order until they have been fully unpacked.
  12. In this situation customers should sign for the number of packages that have been received in good order and follow the procedures in the General Terms above.

Oak Frame Buildings deliveries will be arranged via our Round Wood Transport team or one of our contracted pallet couriers, as per the terms and conditions for these delivery methods.
Please note that Oak-Frame Building deliveries will require the completion of a specific “Delivery Questionnaire” to ensure that we are able to access your work site with the required vehicle.

When you select “Click and Collect” at checkout as your delivery option, we will send you an order confirmation by email and a member of our team will then be in touch to arrange a date and time for you to collect your order from our site at:
